You can use your library card to access this in Ct. It offers newspaper databases as well as
Heritage Quest, a genealogical collection of records and is free.

This is an excellent website and offers records from the National Archives. This is
included with an “All Access” Ancestry subscription.
 
This is an excellent site to get information and photos of gravesites throughout the world.
 
This is the Daughters of the American Revolution Website and is FREE; it offers copies of
those who have applied for  membership as well as the association documents filed with the
society.
 
This covers New York City (all Boroughs) for Birth, Marriage, Deaths from late 1800’s to
early 1900’s. When doing Marriage records click on the last column for spouse.

This covers U.S. from 1850 to present or in some cases early times. It does take
Some time to view results you might need. The program does let you narrow it down by years
and location.
